Because of the position of the pallets in the truck and their weight, we were unable to drag them back to the door, so we had to unload everything by hand.

The floorng arrived in three bundles and we began by loading up the forklift. Then John backed his flatbed wrecker up to the door and we were able to unload the rest onto that.

Bob came out to help which made things go just a little faster.

The flatbed was perfect for loading most of the lumber onto since it was virtually the same height as the delivery truck. We could just walk right out onto it.

The loose pallets went down first, then the boards on top.

Jillena poses on top of the stack after the delivery truck departs. Now to unload the forklift and flatbed.

Jeff takes a few pallets off the flatbed to place on the floor of a storage trailer before transferring the boards. As you can see, these boards are variable length and variable width and will really compliment the look of our rustic interior.

This flooring is actually pine boards ripped from old floor beams and support beams taken from a dismantled textile mill in Virginia. This is "nail hole" flooring. These boards have actual holes scatterd throughout where original nails and spikes were ripped out at the lumber yard.
