Looking up at our finished floor work with the cross braces down the centers of the joists.

The joists spanning the east end of the middle third are doubled since these will be supporting the fireplace hearth.

The joists on the west end, before the sheathing was laid.

Jeff's mother's cousins and their families came out in the afternoon to see the project.

One last family photo. We hope to have them all back next year for our housewarming party.

Paul stretches a 1/4" safety cable from the adjacent lifting pole. When we start using it, we'll be able to hook onto it with a body harness.

Paul wraps the cable around the pole before heading to the next one. Since the cable is wrapped around the poles, without permanently securing it, we can slide the cable up each pole as we need to work higher.

A look at our progress for the weekend.
