These additional logs that had been lying around the property are a different species than our spruce, but they were wide enough to produce a lot of nice boards for our siding.

A nice large beam! Seems a waste to cut it up into lumber.

This beam is ready to be slabbed. We cut 3/4" thick boards out of this beam for the "boards" of our board and batten siding.
