Today began yet another Spring project - staining the interior of the walls. For this, we are using a clear stain by Lifeline, made especially for logs, with UV protection built in. Jeff covered the windows with cardboard and applied the stain with a backpack garden sprayer, then brushed the stain into the grain. Even though it is a clear stain, in the right light you can tell which logs have been treated. Jeff got the entire SW corner stained today.

Around the corner to the west wall tonight. This picture shows how the stain brings out the contrast in the "marbling" of the wood. We got another load of fill tonight which is slowly bringing the front lawn up to final grade.

Dave and Diane came out again today and spent some time cleaning up the 1st floor. Jillena worked on taping the radiant heat insulation seams, and Jeff was busy applying more stain.

Over the past few days, Jeff has gotten the entire back wall and east wall stained, as well as part of the front wall. Tonight, he made it past the front RPSL and is now in the final corner.
