As we came to a ceiling fan box, Bob sketched it out on a scrap piece of T&G which became our template. After a good check for fit around the actual box, we traced the template on the good board (above) using measurements for the hole location Bob had taken.

Jeff begins to cut out the fan box hole in the good board.

The first half is out.
Bob cuts out the other half.

The lower board is a perfect fit. The hole actually falls between two rows so we'll have to cut a small portion of the hole out of the top row.
We decided to split the board in the next row at the rafter that had the fan box mounted to it. This made creating the shape of the hole easier. Here, Bob holds up the first board.

The second board completes the ceiling around the first fan box.
We put up one more complete row, then called it a day.
