Bob uses his jigsaw to cut more v-notches in the rafter spacer blocks. These notches are for venting above the insulation.
On the opposite wall, Jeff was busy pressure-washing the logs, getting the original color back.

Stephen was keeping himself busy pushing little scraps of wood out between the logs.
Later, Bob worked on making the cleats that will attach to the ends of the rafters for the fascia material to nail into. These cleats were made out of 2x4 and 2x6 stock - whatever we had on hand.

Bob cut the correct angles in each end so they would match up with the pitch of the rafters, and still have a plumb front face. This pic shows how the cleat will fit tightly between the flanges.
Jeff started in this corner. Notice the difference in color. The left side of the wall hasn't been washed yet and still retains the gray, weathered color. The right side looks like the logs did when we first peeled them.

All of the cleats have been made - a total of 64.
Here's what the ends of the rafters will look like with cleats installed. The only thing we ended up modifying was cutting each cleat a little shorter to prevent any swelling of the cleats from pushing the flanges apart in a tight fit.
