That's Jeff up on the end of the west cap log, installing a spacer block.
One hand on the rafter at all times.
     
 
Due to the rain we've had lately, our exposed water line coupler got covered. Early in the morning, Jeff got down in the ditch and cleared enough mud around the coupler so we'd know for sure if it leaked when the water service got turned on.
Not long after, a representative from the Water Authority showed up to turn on our service. He spent quite some time bleeding the air out of the line by hooking up a hose and just letting it spray out the back door.
     
 
Finally, a puddle created with our own water!
