This is the panel that will wrap around the GSL (girder support log) at the stairwell. Jeff has already scribed and cut the outline for pole...
...and the edge against the wall.

A nice dry fit.
The profile of the other GSL has been transferred to one of it's surrounding panels.

On this side of the pole, the panel's cutout is shallow. The other side will be a much deeper cut.
The panel is set in place and ready for securing tomorrow.

Because one of the walls will be over the first floor girder, but tight to the GSL, the floor joists needed to be extended a bit.
Jeff nailed 10" sections of 2x10s to the ends of the front third joists. These extensions will help support the interior wall that ends up just beyond the ends of the full-length joists.
